The Company Guard set up is quick and easy. Because the service is customized to your business and provides important filing dates, we will need some specific information from you to ensure accuracy of the notifications.

At purchase, you will be asked to provide your company's fiscal year end date. This is the date when you close your books for the year. Most companies select a calendar year end of 12/31, but you can have a different fiscal year end. We will also need your company's qualification date. This is the date you filed your incorporating papers with the state. This date can be found on the first page of your incorporating documents. Once we have those two pieces of information along with your company's name, address and states where the company is qualified to do business, we can get you started. Your first notification will be a Welcome email with instructions on how to provide us with any missing information we need to complete the process.

Once set up is complete, you will receive a Summary notification which provides you with an overview of your company's filings for the next 12 months. If you don't have a filing due, you will receive a notification with best practices and recommendations for activities to help you prepare for your next upcoming filing.
